Fifth Open Competition

On wednesday evening Dawlish and Teignmouth camera club held its 5th and final open competition of the season.Dave Hutton welcomed the judge for the night, Kay Wilson from Saltash, who attributed her knowledge and love of photography to being raised in a family of photographers.
There was a huge diversity of subjects, some stunning landscapes and seascapes taken in various weather conditions, sculpture, natural history, stonehenge and several images of boats including the famous Jolie Brise, well known for its connections with teignmouth.
After a thorough and concise appraisal of each print the results were;
Standard mono; 1st Bob Kethro, 2nd Denise Searle, 3rd and highly commended Gwynneth Chubb
Standard colour; 1st Ross Parker, 2nd Bob Kethro, 3rd Gwynneth Chubb, highly commended Denise Searle and Barbara Ferrity
Advanced mono; 1st Tony Wilson,2nd Ernie King, 3rd Edward Chorlton, highly commended Bob Clowes and Ken Holland
Advanced colour; 1st Roger Smart, 2nd Jean King, 3rd Barry Holmes, highly commended, Ernie King and Barry Holmes
Bob Clowes thanked the judge for her commentary and useful advice, making for an enjoyable evening
