Dawlish and Teignmouth Camera Club’s Presentation Evening was attended by Cllr. John Clatworthy and Teignmouth Mayor, Cllr. James McMurray. After opening speeches in which both counsellors welcomed the club’s involvement in the community, the trophies and awards were presented by Cllr McMurray.

Members who were most successful during the club’s season received cups and shields within categories such as mono and colour prints, digital images, panels (5 ‘themed’ pictures), most imaginative and most improved. The work of less experienced members was mostly judged separately to encourage all abilities to enter competitions. Among those receiving recognition were: Jane Thomson, Bob Clowes, Steve Clark, Ken Redshaw, Denise Searle, Colin Carter and Dave Hutton. ‘Advanced’ who gained awards were: Tony Wilson, Ken Bradley, Ken Holland, Terry Boulton, Paul Lawson, Edward Chorlton

A new award was given for the club members’ favourite photograph which they voted for through the club’s website, www.dandtcameraclub.co.uk. It went to Ken Holland for his dramatic ‘Exploding Wave’, taken in Teignmouth.
