Print and DPic Image of the Year Competition

The Winners, Image of the Year.
Tonight saw the final competition of this season for the club.
In a battle for supremacy members went head to head for the print and digital image of the year. This was judged by John Tilsley from Dorchester, a very competent and qualified photographer. John gave a very detailed and thorough appraisal , judging each image on it's merits and offering advice on how improvements could be made, particularly in relation to the mounting and presentation of prints.
It was a difficult task, but his wealth of knowledge showed in his commentary.
An array of subjects were chosen by entrants, many showing street scenes, some beautiful wildlife, nightshots and landscapes.
After much deliberation the results were;
Black and white prints; 1, Ken Holland, 2 Denise Searle, 3 Bob Normand ;Highly commended; Tony Wilson, Paul Lawson
Colour prints; 1, Tony Wilson, 2 Paul Lawson, 3 Ken Redshaw, Highly commended; Ken Holland, Bob Clowes
Digital images; 1, Ken Holland, 2 Helen Ashford, 3 Peter Sillifant; Highly commended, Tony Wilson, Ken Holland
The judge was thanked for his hard work by Colin Carter
