Linda and some of her images
Members of Dawlish and Teignmouth camera club enjoyed a special evening this week.
Linda Wevill, FRPS , a keen sailor and photographer from Newton Ferrers visited the club to talk about her progress in photography reulting in gaining her Fellowship in the Royal Photographic Society, a great achievment.
She began by showing a selection of her work, evocative images of landscapes, urban scenes and possibly her favourite subject, seascapes, many of which have appeared in exhibitions.
Her FRPS panel consisted of 20 images, unusual in that she blended odds and ends of nautical equipment, chains, ropes, pulleys etc with a background of the sea.
Specialising in slow shutter speeds, giving special effects to the water, and using soft muted colours, Mrs Wevill produced a stunning panel, provoking many questions and comments from club members.
Colin Carter gave thanks on behalf of the club for an enjoyable and thought provoking evening'
