Project Progress

Article text
This week saw the results of some of the hard work put in by Dawlish and Teignmouth camera club's project groups.
Members formed teams and got together to take pictures on a chosen theme, with a view to sharing ideas and improving their photography.
Tony Wilson opened the evening , sharing the work done alongside Steve Capewell and Bob Kethro, with their look at street photography which included candid shots of people and unusual views of the high street.
Next was Dave Hutton and his group with an interesting mix of shadows, patterns and contemporary images, imaginitive pictures of shadows on pavements, walls and gravestones creating some fascinating and sometimes puzzling shapes.
Nigel West, Edward Chorlton, Ronnie Pitts and Steve Capewell talked about the open university course they took, resulting in a certificate from the Royal Photographic Society, very challenging but a big achievement at the end.
After the coffee break Nigel West gave detailed instruction on creating a photobook, with some members showing their own creations to the club, a useful and inspiring talk.
All in all a varied and interesting evening.
