Taking Pictures, Making Images

Ginny Campbell and Colin Carter, club Chairman.
Members at the weekly meeting were treated to a fascinating presentation from Ginny Campbell, LRPS, from Kingsbridge Camera Club. As a judge, Ginny visits other camera clubs assessing their pictures, but this time, she was showing her own and describing how her photography has evolved.
A wide range of pictures were shown, both prints and digital, in colour and black and white. Many of the subjects were landscapes, often taken just before dawn or even at night. A series of images from Flanders and from Oradour-sur-Glane in France reflected Ginny’s interest in the history of the two world wars.
Club Chairman, Colin Carter, gave the vote of thanks and judging by the high attendance and enthusiastic applause afterwards, it was clearly a successful evening.
